Keep track of what you have spent on your home and compare it to your home’s fair market value.

Property Tax Assessed Value

Estimated Maintenance Costs

Real Time Profit and Expenses

1.Fair Market Value

The value of your home if you were to sell it today.

Your realtor can do a market value evaluation. It is the closest real value you will get to an official appraiser.

2.Home Cost

The actual cost you invested in owning your home.

The purchase cost includes what you paid for both the land and the home and all closing costs on HUD-1 as listed expenses to the buyer.

3.Maintenance Costs

All maintenance expenses associated with maintaining your home.

Cost of materials (tape, glue, caulking, paint, lubricant, screen, rags, etc.), cost of consumables (batteries, filters, etc.), cost to hire a professional (if no DIY) to complete the maintenance associated with each task, etc.  HomeManager automatically totals the expenses you've entered during the completion of your tasks and processes to your account total.

4.Repair Costs

This is the cost to repair or fix any appliances, equipment, or materials in or around your home. Repair costs are not the cost to replace or redo.

Cost of materials (tape, glue, caulking, wood, hardware, paint, supplies etc.) required to restore the item (door, wall, fixture, equipment, etc.) to working condition.  May include the cost to hire a professional to make the repairs.  HomeManager suggests you enter repair costs in the repair costs folder in the documents section. HomeManager will automatically total all your entered repair costs and display the total in the financial summary section of your home information page. This will become a part of your ongoing expenses and cost to your home.

5.Replacement Costs

Costs associated with "replacing" broken appliances, equipment, and/or materials in your home.

Replacement costs are expenses associated with replacing broken or malfunctioning equipment, major appliances, and home materials (windows, doors, rails, roof shingles, tile, sink, etc.).  HomeManager suggests you enter replacement costs in the replacement costs folder in the documents section.  Then, HomeManager will automatically total all your entered replacement costs and display the total in the financial summary section of your home information page. This will add up to be a part of your total expenses to your home.

6.New Project Costs

New project costs are expenses related to remodeling a room or adding a new feature to your home.

These costs are associated with remodeling (kitchen, rooms, bathroom, re-painting, etc.), new additions (rooms, patio, deck, pool, etc.), landscaping projects, newly installed systems (solar, car battery charger, security, etc.), etc.  HomeManager suggests you enter new project costs in the new project costs folder in the documents section.  Then, HomeManager will automatically total all your entered new project costs and display the total in the financial summary section of your home information page. The difference between "replacement costs" and "project costs" is how many items you're figuring the cost of. Project costs consist of multiple items added together to be called a project.
